It is with much appreciation that we thank Serhat Ozenir for his achievements as Technical Director during 2018 season.
Sherhat came on-board with the club at the beginning of the year to lay the platform for developing our coaching and player programs and has been seen regularly on the practice field and game day providing his support and guidance to coaches & players across our junior and female teams.
It is no coincidence that his arrival has coincided with one of our most successful seasons to date, including our U15B team going undefeated for the season, our under 18B’s winning the finals and of course our State 4 women team, winning the league at their first attempt. The core message from our coaches is they have enjoyed having access to Serhat’s knowledge of the game and coaching philosophies; giving them heightened insight and additional ideas to incorporate into their future coaching – and we are committed to growing this thirst for coaching knowledge.
Next year we expect to have ‘A’ grade teams across every junior level and will continue to develop our female football program with the addition of potentially two new female teams and more coaches. Our continued investment in coaching development is something that the club is extremely proud of and we thank Serhat for his role in creating the platform for growth in 2019 and beyond.
As the club launches into its next phase of player development, Serhat will be leaving the club and pursuing his desire to complete his coaching accreditation in Europe and we wish him every success and hope to see him around Seagull land in the future.
Thank you Serhat!
